Collida is helping to deliver 12 new one-bedroom apartments and six houses in Trethomas and Trecenydd, Caerphilly to deliver large energy savings through being designed to the ultra energy efficient Passivhaus standard.
Collida’s team of Passivhaus experts have supported the development of 12 new one-bedroom apartments in Trethomas, Caerphilly, as well as six new homes in Trecenydd. Homes on both sites will be owned and managed by Caerphilly County Borough Council.
The homes will all be constructed with very high levels of insulation, extremely high-performance windows with insulated frames, airtight building fabric and a mechanical heat ventilation system. As well as helping to lower carbon emissions, these buildings will result in low energy costs for tenants and contribute towards housing need in the county borough.
